Jersey 's Story

Jeresy is a very sweet 5 year old Shepherd & Lab mix. But just because she's an adult doesn't mean she doesn't like playing, running around and loving people. Because she's definitely top dog at that! She loves children and would be best suited for a house with a backyard that she can run and play in and also somebody that either works from home or is retired . Her family adopted her during the pandemic and now is having to return her. She's spayed, up to date on shots, and heartworm tested negative. Paws 4 the Cause is an all volunteer "no kill" rescue. We do not harm animals, but the more we can adopt out, the more we can take in. We take in the hardest cases, dogs and cats that are close to death or starvation. The adoption fee barely covers a fraction of what we spend. Our average animal costs about $200 for the first month in food and vet fees, and approx. $50 per month thereafter. All donations are used to pay directly for animal food and vet expenses. There are no employee or overhead expenses.
