JENOVA's Story

Hi there! I’m Jenova—

a sweet little lady with perfect manners and a big curiosity for the world (and maybe a few snacks I find along the way).
The best day ever started when my volunteer scooped me up and helped me into the car. I didn’t wiggle or fuss—just settled right in and watched the world go by until I dozed off.

When we got to the brewery, there were so many new smells! I took my time exploring, sniffing everything, and then stuck close to my person. I met other dogs and even found one I liked enough to sit beside all afternoon. As I got comfortable, I leaned in for extra cuddles and put my paws on the bench so I could join the conversation—because who doesn’t like being part of the fun?

I let my volunteer know when I wanted a walk with a polite bark. She said I was very polite and smart. I didn’t go potty (I’m a little shy about that), but I rode home like a pro, curled up and snoozing the whole way.

They say I’m calm, kind, and just the right size for any adventure. I say I’m ready for my next ride—this time, straight to my forever home.

Jenova has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. She's also sharing her shelter suite with a friend she met at the shelter. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out her playgroup video here:

To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
