Jenna's Story

Jenna is a six-year-old chocolate Lab with soulful eyes and a gentle heart. After spending her entire life as a breeder dog, she's finally learning what it means to just be someone's beloved companion. She's currently in foster care, decompressing and discovering that she's safe.

Jenna is a sensitive, observant girl who bonds deeply with her people. She doesn't bark — she howls (and it's adorable). She loves belly rubs and will roll over sweetly for more once she trusts you. When she feels secure, her affectionate and tender personality truly shines.

She's still building confidence and can be shy in new situations, but she is making steady progress every day. Jenna does best when allowed to move at her own pace with gentle guidance and reassurance.

Jenna would do well with a calm, mellow dog who will respect her space while she builds trust. She often takes cues from stable dogs and gains confidence from them.

She prefers respectful boundaries around food and treats, but she has shown no aggression toward people and is very sweet and cooperative with her foster family — even during ear cleanings and baths. This girl just needs some time, confidence, and trust.

Jenna loves being outside, happily sniffing and exploring. She's not a “difficult” dog — she's a brave girl in this new world learning how to trust. In the right home, she will give her whole heart.

please apply to adopt Jenna at Diamonddogsrescue.com
