Jelly Bean's Story
Jelly Bean is a 29 lb, 1-2 year old Corgi mix(?) who's as sweet as can be! His foster reports that he's easygoing in the house, walks great on a leash, and has a gentle, kind demeanor. He did fantastic at his vet visit—confident, calm, and friendly. His behavior is impeccable, and he loves belly rubs, lounging on the couch, and giving sweet licks to his people.
Though he's new to training, Jelly is food-motivated, focused, and picking things up quickly with positive reinforcement. He remains calm around new people, dogs, cars, and noise. While Jelly can be cautious, he warms up quickly to new faces. He’s playful and has the perfect amount of energy for a medium-sized dog. He would thrive with regular access to a safe, fenced yard where he can run and play in the outdoors.
Jelly Bean is excellent with other dogs, especially ones of similar size and energy so he may be open to living with another dog sibling. At this time, we think he would prefer a home with no cats or other smaller pets. He'll do best in a home with an experienced dog owner who can provide him with exercise, walks, and companionship. With his double coat, Jelly is cold-tolerant, but he’ll need regular brushing and professional grooming.
With his short little legs, fluffy double coat, and curious, thoughtful way of taking in the world, Jelly Bean sometimes feels like he wandered straight out of a storybook. If you’re looking for a whimsical companion with a big heart and a love for adventure, Jelly Bean may be the happily-ever-after you didn’t know you were missing. 💚🐾
