Jefe's Story

Jefe was thriving in a foster-to-adopt home, but due to an unexpected job relocation, his person has to leave the area and he’s losing his home immediately. We are absolutely devastated — Jefe has come so far, and returning him to boarding would be heartbreaking and a major setback for him. He deserves better.

Jefe is a 4-year-old Shepherd mix who just wants to play, splash in water, and curl up beside his person at the end of the day. He’s loving, loyal, and full of life. He’s also dog-friendly, crate trained, housebroken, and knows his basic commands. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped — ready for a new start.

This handsome boy has the softest coat, soulful eyes, and the goofiest personality. He loves chasing balls (he’ll even toss them for himself!) and is happiest near water — whether it’s a pool, hose, or lake, Jefe is all in. Despite being let down before, he remains hopeful and affectionate, eager to give his heart to someone who won’t leave him again.

Jefe was adopted as a puppy but abandoned four years later when his family’s “life changed.” Even after all that, he’s still full of love and trust. He’s a resilient, happy dog who just wants the stability and care he’s always deserved. Please — Jefe cannot go back to boarding. If you can foster or adopt him, apply today at pittiesandpals.com.

Many other dogs need our help, please consider donating or sponsoring a dog, if possible.

100% of all money received from adoption fees and donations goes directly back to support saving other dogs through Pitties and Pals Rescue.
