Jedidiah's Story

This handsome guy is Jedidiah, Jed, Jeddy, and handsome bo-bandsome (as his foster mom calls him.) Jed is a VERY sweet and intelligent guy who is almost 2 years old. Despite his age on paper, this guy is VERY much a puppy trapped inside a big kid body. He is re-learning what it is like to be in a house, and with other dogs after being in the shelter for many months. He does great with going potty outside and is completely crate trained. However, we are still working on jumping, not using shoes and other household items as chew toys, as well as basic home manners. This guy is SO receptive to corrections and redirections and will be very easy to train into your routine.

Because this big guy thinks he is a puppy, we recommend a home with bigger kiddos only who are used to having bigger dogs until he can curb his jumping even more. BUT he LOVES everyone he meets and is just a bundle of love. Jed would do well with a submissive female dog who is ready to keep up with his playful energy. He has a lot of love and fun to give, so a dog who enjoys playtime and doesn't mind being the "leader" would be ideal. He loves the cat, but again does not realize his size, so he may be a little intimidating for cats (unless you have one ready to hand out a correction).

All in all, Jedidiah is a true good boy through and through. He just needs a family ready to give him a little bit of consistency and TLC, and we promise he will give you a lifetime of love back!
