JD's Story

JD will make someone a lucky human. About 3 1/2 months. Available July 19, the day after his neuter. He knows basic commands (the dog is smart) and will take treats from your hands gently when told to sit and stay.

JD is not a chewer, except for approved chewing objects.
He loves making you laugh and is super affectionate without being clingy. No aggression. JD is happy, period. He is a wiggler who loves everyone.

No aggression.

We have a Jack Russell mix that can be aggressive, but JD ignores her and finds another activity. He LOVES playing with the other dogs. He has no fear of giant German Shepherds. He assumes everyone loves him until proven otherwise.

JD does have those needle puppy teeth. After one stern talking to, he does not break skin. He is careful with his teeth and eager to please. When he knows what you want, you've got it.

He is a social dog. We prefer a household where someone is home or where someone takes their dog everywhere they go.

JD could easily be trained as a service dog. Shepherds are intuitive service dogs, trained or not. JD looks to you to discover what makes you happy and how to make things right if you are not doing well.

He has been known to nab things. I keep a washcloth at hand, and he nabs that when he can. He snagged my reading glasses once. He does not chew things up. He runs outside with whatever trophy he found and leaves it at the back door. He "steals" his toys. I think a roommate said he did chew something up on the back patio. I keep a toy on hand in case he puts something inappropriate in his mouth. He learns quickly. He can be a shoplifter in the house, though. It is easy to find whatever he nabbed.

He has not been cat tested, but he has been friendly with everyone he has met.

Feel free to call 916-717-2661. I lose control of my email and have been known to miss texts.

$100 donation to help cover the cost of the neuter.
