Jazzper's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi, I’m Jazzper! I’m a 5-year-old male Aussie mix with a big heart and a sharp mind. I’ve been with one family since I was a puppy and now I’m ready for a new forever home. While I didn’t get much early exposure to other dogs, I grew up absolutely loving people. I bond deeply with my humans and enjoy being part of their daily life. New dogs make me uncomfortable, so I’m reactive to unfamiliar dogs and will need to be the only pet in my forever home—but trust me, I have more than enough love and personality to fill it.

I thrive when I’m active and engaged. Walks and hikes are some of my favorite things, and I do best with a person who enjoys getting outside and can give me both physical exercise and mental stimulation every day. I’m a herding breed mix, after all—my brain likes a job! I’m already housetrained, kennel trained, and muzzle trained, which helps me stay safe and successful in the world while I keep learning.

My ideal forever family will be experienced, patient, and committed to helping me be my best self. I should live in a home without kids under 12, and I need someone who will continue my obedience training with a dedicated trainer who understands reactive herding dogs. With the right structure, guidance, and consistency, I shine. If you’re an active person looking for a loyal companion who’s eager to work, learn, and adventure by your side, I might just be your perfect match.

Could you be the family for me?
