Jax's Story

If interested, please contact the foster home. Petfinder Profiles doesn’t always work.

Jax, Male 17 weeks, 24 lbs. Micro chipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.

Jax is a sweet Cattle dog mix who was Fostering with his littermate. Since his brother has moved on Jax has become the perfect house guest. He sleeps on a dog bed beside me throughout the day and in his crate at night. No resource guarding and gets along with my resident dog. Jax will sit patiently and wait for his food to be placed on the floor.

Jax keeps his crate very tidy but does have an occasional accident during the day, he does his best to make it outside. Jax is on the shy side but gains more confidence daily.

He knows some basic commands and is very treat motivated to learn more. Jax has the classic traits of a Cattle Dog, wanting to be as close as possible to his human at all times. Jax would probably be ok with a kitty if introduced slowly.

Jax is curious about little humans (grandsons) but they are a bit noisy so he will watch from a distance. Jax needs a confident human(s) that can help him through some insecurities. Someone who is home more than not. Someone who is familiar with the breed and willing to reach out to a reward based trainer if needed.

A quiet home with a yard would be ideal for Jax. Jax will come with a spay/neuter contract. Meet and greets will be arranged after an application has been submitted @acdra.org You can see more photos and videos @cattledogfostersinglostah on Facebook Please contact: shelleynugent@msn.com

Complete an Application: https://share.google/LwLHsOWkN5iKjK3mH
