Jax's Story

Meet Jax – the resilient, joyful 11-month-old who’s ready to steal your heart!

Jax’s story began with heartbreak. After darting into traffic and being hit by a car, this sweet boy suffered a fractured right hind leg. His original family, unable to afford the costly surgery, made the painful decision to surrender him to a high-kill shelter, where he was placed on the euthanasia list. Minutes – literally minutes – before his time was up, our rescue swooped in and pulled him to safety.

We rushed Jax straight to the vet, where skilled surgeons repaired his leg. Today, he’s fully healed, running and playing like nothing ever happened! He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and already knows basic commands. This little guy is house-trained, affectionate, very playful, and an absolute lovebug with people of all ages – he adores kids!

Jax is non-reactive with other dogs, gets along with everyone he meets, and at just around 45 lbs (and likely staying on the smaller side), he’s the perfect “tiny little” companion who thinks he’s a lap dog.

From the brink of death to the brink of his happily-ever-after, Jax is proof that second chances can create the most incredible dogs. He’s ready to reward the family who chooses him with endless tail wags, cuddles, and loyalty.

Could that family be yours? Skippy sure hopes so! ???
