Jax's Story

Meet Jax! He's about 3 years old, 63 lbs., and maybe a shepherd husky mix? This handsome guy passed his crate & cat testing and is kid friendly! Jax got to go on a field trip and had a busy day which included some park time, shopping & supervising the feed loading. This is what his handler had to say about their time together: “Jax loads into the bed of the truck with ease and is an extremely good traveler. He did well on the 30’ lead at the park and even though his recall is not consistent, he responded quicker and better each time. He always looks up at his handler with that happy husky smile and absolutely loves petting and affection. He laid in the grass and just watched other dogs pass, geese fly over, skateboarders ride by without any issues. He has gentle play, but when the play heightens, he gets that husky excitement and becomes jumpy and mouthy. No aggression, just excited. He did very well meeting both a large and small dog while at the park showing zero aggression towards either. After some gentle redirection and correction, Jax walked next to his handler's side, hands free, with the line around my waist. His jog is perfect and stayed next to his handler's side, a good running buddy. He calmly and politely visited businesses making no potty mistakes anywhere. Jax is a fantastic travel companion and will be a great addition to any family.”

Come check out our adoptable dogs at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531.
