Java's Story
Say hello to Java. My only holiday wish is to find her a furever home.

She’s definitely the Foster that has taken the most patience and training, but absolutely been the most rewarding. This poor dog has been raised in neglect and abandonment, and she genuinely deserves a chance in life. When nobody claimed her at the Franklin County stray hold, they told me she would be euthanized if I didn’t pick her up.?

I got a call about her living in a homeless encampment. Being fed whatever odds and ends, the folks offered her, but using her as an alarm system more than anything else. She was frequently tied up or just left to roam outside. So all her training has just really been teaching her how nice it is to live the homely life of comfort.

She absolutely adores cuddles, affection, toys, comfy beds, and a routine. She still struggles with the squirrel brain of wanting to chase birds, squirrels, and butterflies ? she would love a stay at home parent who she can just follow around for safety and comfort, but not required. She loves kids, the youngest of the foster family she’s ever stayed with is 3 years old, but ideally the 5 to 6 yo range where they can confidently give commands is ideal. ?The elementary kids of my neighborhood love to take her on walks.

Even with a 6 foot fence, her street smart skills will absolutely get her over it if she wants. She does great on a tie out leash. She has learned basic commands, potty trained, cage trained, does good on a leash. She has lived with Cats, she does good, just wants to follow them around. She has stayed with other dogs, but we still separate all animals at feeding time, I also try to keep the toys secluded to their own play area. Fully vaccinated and spayed!
Columbus, Ohio.
I will transport to meet her, comes with a contract and a trial sleepover before placement. ??
