He was so scared when he arrived to rescue but his foster family has helped him build confidence and learn what being a dog should be all about.<br/><br/>Jasper has taken a liking to socks and rubber balls. He loves to chew and is beginning to act like the puppy he never got to be :)<br/><br/>He is doing great with house training and is crate trained as well.<br/><br/>ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:<br/><br/>Physically fenced in yard to keep him safe. Jasper is still very skittish and startles easily, he must have the safety of a fenced in yard.<br/>Jasper would do best in a home with a resident dog to help him continue to build confidence and learn how to "dog".<br/>*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.<br/><br/>Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
