Jasper

Meet Jasper. <br/>Jasper is a wonderful beagle who was surrendered to us by his owner. Jasper's birthdate is approximately 10-1-2018, which makes him almost 8 years old. Jasper is a tri-color beagle and weighs about 45 pounds. When he came to us he was in really bad shape. His owner had done nothing to him or for him. He had to be neutered, shots given and multiple teeth extracted. He also had a skin infection and crusty paw pads. A biopsy was done on his foot and it was determined that he had Pemphigus foliaceus or PF which is a common autoimmune skin disease in dogs which can affect their footpads. He has been on steroids for quite some time and finally is down to only one a week and is doing great. He has not had any flair ups!<br/><br/>Jasper loves other dogs and is especially fond of his foster mom's beagle. They play together and sunbathe together in the yard. Jasper does well around cats too. He is more interested in their food than in the cats. <br/><br/>Jasper is housetrained but because of the steroids needs to be let out more often. Jasper thinks he is a tiny lap dog and just loves attention.
