Jasper's Story
Meet Jasper, a lovable 12-year-old Cocker Spaniel looking for a fresh start. When he first arrived at the shelter, Jasper was severely underweight and dehydrated. He is currently on a vet-prescribed diet and is steadily gaining strength.

Jasper is likely mostly deaf and is completing a two-week course of daily ear drops. While he has the beginnings of cataracts, he has adapted well and navigates his surroundings with ease. Despite his rough start, Jasper remains a happy-go-lucky, gentle, and trusting companion who gets along well with other dogs.

He is crate and leash trained, though he will need consistent potty training as he settles into a new routine. He also recently behaved wonderfully during a professional grooming session.

Currently, Jasper is recovering from neutering and dental procedures in a foster home where he is finally being spoiled. He would be an ideal companion for a senior or any home ready to provide him with the care and love he deserves.

If you would like to meet Jasper, please complete our adoption/foster application (they’re the same) and put his name at the top. Our application and detailed info about our process can be found on our website: https://dfwcockerrescue.org/adoption-process/

If you are already an approved adopter or foster, please contact us at dfwcsr.adoptions@gmail.com.
