Jasmine's Story
Jasmine is one of fourteen dogs we welcomed into Family Dog Rescue from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. Despite everything she's been through, this young Poodle-Terrier mix is showing us, in her own quiet way, just how much resilience and sweetness she has inside.

Jasmine is sloooooowly coming out of her shell - and every tiny step forward feels like a victory. She's still learning that people are safe. Right now, she doesn't quite approach on her own and will scamper off if she feels unsure. But here's the beautiful part: if you sit quietly and give her space, she'll start sniffing around, curiosity getting the best of her. She even comes up to nudge your feet to invite play - she's just not ready for pets yet. And that's okay. She's getting there.

She eats great, loves her treats (even if she's still building confidence taking them from your hand), and absolutely adores her crate and cozy dog beds - they make her feel safe and secure. Having a little sanctuary of her own is important to her.

Where Jasmine truly lights up is with other dogs. She loves to play! Watching her romp around with her foster sibling and chew on her toys is when her joyful, puppy personality shines through. A confident, friendly dog in her forever home will help her continue to blossom.

She's learning her potty routine and has already started going outside, though she's still figuring things out and may use a pee pad or rug occasionally. She'll thrive with patience, consistency, and positive, reward-based training.

Jasmine will need a calm, understanding home willing to move at her pace - but the reward will be incredible. Beneath that timid exterior is a playful, loving little soul just waiting to feel fully safe. Her foster sees it, and we do too: the potential in this girl is endless.

If you believe in the magic of watching a shy dog bloom, Jasmine may be your girl.
