Jasmine Jack Russell Terrier Boise, ID

Jasmine is a petite white & tan lightly broken-coated Jack Russell terrier. She weighs 12 pounds and is 12 inches at the shoulder. Jasmine is 2 years old.
Jasmine came into rescue extremely under-socialized and she still is cautious meeting new people. A treat will win her over, but noisy or overly forward people (as in small children) will frighten her and she will start barking. She does well with quiet calm older children and quiet patient adults.
This is a dog who still gets over-excited easily. She would benefit enormously from a good positive reinforcement starter training class. She can get over-excited when playing with people or other dogs, but an older calm (male) mentor dog in her adoptive home would be excellent.
Jasmine is mostly house-trained and house-safe, but still has accidents if she gets over-excited. She does crate competently. She rides well loose in the car and walks well on leash most of the time, but can get over-excited meeting new people or seeing other dogs she cannot access.
This little girl needs dog-smart adopters who will keep working with her and maintaining the good work of introducing her to the world her foster mom has been building on. As with all young terriers, we are looking for a high exercise home. NO cats, no town homes or apartments, please.
Jasmine is located in Boise, Idaho, with some beach time as well in Newport, Oregon. Her adoption fee is $200.
