Jasmine's Story

Meet Jasmine

Jasmine is a very pretty German Shepherd, estimated to be 5years old. She’s a little on the small size for a Shepherd, about 68 lbs. (fully grown)

Typical of the breed Jasmine is very smart, attentive, and a quick learner. She is well mannered, gentle, and knows how to sit and shake. We believe the was someone’s beloved pet at some point in her life…so sad she had ended up in an overcrowded, understaffed shelter in Kentucky.

Also characteristic of Shepherds, Jasmine can be a bit stubborn, and somewhat dominant with other dogs. As such an ideal family for Jasmine is one with Shepherd experience, or at least a family experienced with large dominant breeds.

We noticed that Jasmine has a bit of sensitivity in her right front elbow. Our vet believes she experienced a past injury causing her to favor that leg a bit. A glucosamine-chondroitin supplement as well as perhaps swimming and/or laser treatments could greatly benefit Jasmine.

Jasmine likes to be outside and would greatly enjoy a secure fenced yard. She’d likely enjoy the company of older children but she would be too much for younger kids. Jasmine likes people; a family who spends a lot of time at home would be ideal. She would not be a good fit for a high-energy household. A quiet or moderately active home would suite her best.

Jasmine is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and on year-round heart prevention.

If you’d like to add this precious pup to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895..for questions or for an adoption application.
