She had a hard time being locked up in a small crate 24/7, never being let out to roam. Once she figured out the shelter was a safe space she really opened up. She's such a sweet soul despite all she’s been through. <br/><br/>She may look a lot older from all the white on her face, but she is only about 5 years young. She’s a spunky, confident, laid-back gal, more playful and with more energy than most of the other younger dogs she hangs with. She’s great on car rides and loves to sit and look out the window. Behaves well for a bath, and is housebroken as long as you’re home in time to let her out. She longs to curl up on the couch and snuggle with her favorite person. <br/><br/>Janis gets along well with everyone she meets: from dogs, cats, kids (feral red heads) and even horses. She smiles, says a polite hello and goes about her business. She is so gentle that even the shiest scaredy-cat is okay with her. There is not one bad thing about her, she really is the best! <br/><br/>This girl would be the perfect companion to load up in the car for an adventure or just stay in and lounge around the house.
