Janie (Adoption Fee - Sponsored!)In Foster's Story

Janie has been in her foster home since August 2025 and this sweet girl is still looking for her perfect forever family.

Janie has not had an easy life and is looking for a special adopter to love her through thick and thin. Back in December, Janie developed a tumor that turned out to be cancerous. Luckily the vet was able to remove the tumor with clear margins and there is no evidence the cancer metastasized to any major organ or anywhere else!

She has recovered splendidly and is back in great health. Janie loves to go for walks and hikes and spend time in a fenced-in yard. She does have a prey drive and loves to chase squirrels. Most of the time, she is easy to walk on a leash but she requires a strong handler for when she gets too excited or wants to run after a squirrel.

She gets along well with most other dogs and likes to play, but she is also happy to just coexist with doggy friends or as an only child. She is still 5 years young and when she's not outside, snuggling with you on the couch is her favorite activity.

Janie would do best in a cat-free home. If you have a soft spot in your heart for dogs like Janie, please fill out an application and we will be happy to answer any additional questions!
