Janet's Story
UPDATE 4/3/2024: Janet is a bundle of joyous energy! She would love a canine playmate who will be tolerant of her puppy ways but she takes direction well from her furry foster brother. Lastly, Janet is a fan of ALL species and is non reactive to cats, critters, and even horses! Everyone needs a Janet!!!

Please read foster assessment! Janet is the best kind of pup!
Foster Updates: Janet is a sweet pup. She is very calm when I bring her to work with me, and can be a ball of energy while playing with my 10-year-old English bulldog.

She takes gentle verbal corrections very well, and is very smart. We are working on basic commands, and she's getting the idea very quickly. Current commands: sit, stay, down, crate, go potty, leave it, no ma'am, in, out. She also has great car manners, sitting on the passenger seat until I go around and open the door for her, tell her STAY and then OKAY verbal cues to come out of the car.

She is a strong chewer and loves her horn chew toy. She walks well on a harness if she's confident in her surroundings. She is sleeping through the night already. She is crate-trained and sleeps in her crate at night. During the day, the crate is left open and she goes in it if she needs a break from playing. Janet shows zero food aggression. She is curious about cats but will not chase, and is easily redirected.

Anyone would be lucky to have her! A piece of cake to train-and I've trained Goldens ;) ! The more confident she gets, the better recall I have with her, the more she looks to me for guidance. She's quite remarkable.

Janet's original information:
Meet Janet! She is the playful and spunky girl of the litter! She also loves cuddles and sunbathing! She is very curious and loves to explore. She will just as easily cuddle with her canine siblings as with any available human. Janet hopes to find a family that will continue to bring her to see new things and meet new people.

Janet is about 8-10 weeks. She and her littermates were found in middle of the road at only about 4 weeks old. Brought to a kill shelter, the staff worked hard to find Janet and her littermates a rescue that could foster them until their forever families find them.

If you think Janet might be the right fit for your family please reach out to set up a meet and greet. She is going to be an amazing family dog!
https://form.jotform.com/240515672272151
