Jane's Story

Jane #1126

Age: 2 years old

Color & Breed: Tricolor Beagle

Gender: Spayed Female

Weight: 23 pounds

Jane #1126 is a 2-year-old beagle. She and Tom are parents to Huey, Duey, Luey, and Gary, and she is super proud of them, but now she’s ready to find her own home (one where she can be the biggest baby of them all!)

Jane would do well with another dog for company, as she’s tired of trying to get her uninterested foster brother to snuggle. She has talked him in to chasing toys, though. Whee! Once zoomies are done, she’s ready to relax, hopping in her crate or, better yet, on the couch next to people.

Jane’s foster family is working hard on leash training, and Jane says, “No thank you.” (She only weighs 23 pounds, maybe she can talk her new family into fitting her into a dog purse ) She does well on a tie-out and would also enjoy a fenced-in yard.

Jane’s favorite hobby is singing along while her foster mom plays the piano. If you’re looking for a lead singer for your family band, visit https://www.mnbassetrescue.com/adoption for an application!

MNBR adopts locally as much as possible so we can properly support our foster dogs and adopters if the need arises. We accept applications from within the following areas: all of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin and other applicants within a 8 hour radius of our headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

Minnesota Basset Rescue (MNBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue based in Minnesota. MNBR rehomes dogs from owners who can no longer provide their care and rescues dogs from local pounds and shelters. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue we welcome anyone who loves dogs and wishes to help hounds live a healthy and happy life. Our organization provides safe, loving foster home, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities while working hard to find them a permanent, loving home!
