Jane's Story

Janie is a 16 week old hound mix puppy. She’s a very happy, playful girl who loves everyone. She loves to chase toys and play with other dogs, but she also seeks out affection from her people. She seems interested in cats only to make friends. She is excellent about going outside to potty and uses a dog door as needed. Janie is such a sweet girl and is eager to please. She will adjust to a new home quickly with just a little patience.

Hope for Dogs and Cats PR's Adoption Policy

We use a google form. An applicant must be over 18 and needs two personal references, a vet reference if appropriate, and a discussion with a team member to help make the best match for yourself as well as the animal.

Our Mission

To bring awareness to the homeless dog and cat crisis in Puerto Rico and support island based rescuers in finding homes for cats and dogs. To support any local animal surrenders and provide education to school age children about rescue. To coordinate with down south shelters pulling pups on the euthanasia list.
