Jake and Dory's Story
REQUIREMENTS - Must have a secure fenced yard. Jake and Dory are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. No cats. Kids 8+. Adoption applications reviewed for Chatham Kent, Windsor and Sarnia areas.

Adoption application is on our webpage - click on Adopt at top of the page - DO NOT COMPLETE ON PETFINDER - www.ckanimalrescue.com

DATE OF BIRTH: MARCH 2025

Jake and Dory are an adorable brother-and-sister duo who came to our foster program with one sibling and their mom. They were born and raised outdoors without shelter until they were rescued, and they are now learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.

These two are very close and are a bonded pair, meaning they must be adopted together. They love to play together and are happiest when they’re side by side. While they currently live with other small dogs, they prefer playing with each other over interacting with other dogs.

Jake and Dory have been around cats in foster care and have occasionally joined in chasing the foster cat along with the other dogs. Because of this, we feel a home without cats would be best.

Like most young puppies, they love to chew, especially cords, so their forever family will need to be mindful about keeping important items safely out of reach. Chew toys are some of their favourite things, along with tasty treats! These two are still learning how to walk on a leash, so a patient adopter is a must.

They have only been around older children in their previous environment, so a home with children ages 8 and up will be considered. Jake and Dory are fun-loving, curious siblings who deserve a patient family willing to guide them as they continue learning the basics and experiencing the things many puppies their age have already been introduced to.

If you have the time, patience, and love to offer this sweet bonded pair, please submit an online adoption application. They’re ready to start their new chapter together with you!

Adoption app is on our webpage - click Adopt at the top of the page - DO NOT COMPLETE ON PETFINDER - www.ckanimalrescue.com

Adoption Fee - $1300
