JAIME's Story
Jaime came to the shelter as a stray with two other dogs on 9/24/25 and was initially very nervous and anxious in the kennel environment. Since moving into foster care, she has truly blossomed—she is mostly housebroken (with only one accident), loves running and playing in the yard, happily sleeps in the bed, and understands “no,” with her foster continuing to work on additional basic commands. Though it took her a few hours to warm up, Jaime has proven to be very sweet, affectionate, and loving once she feels safe. She can still be shy and nervous around new people, sometimes keeping her distance at first, but with patient, thoughtful training and a calm environment, Jaime has all the potential to become a wonderful, devoted companion.
