Jafar's Story

Jafar is about a year and a half old. He is neutered, current on shots, and heartworm tested negative. He does have a strong leash pull, but we think a lot of that is just from being in the shelter environment, as when he gets out of the shelter, he acts totally different.<br/>We do not think he would be a good fit for cat friends. <br/>We were told he was good with some other dogs, but we have not done any testing with him to date here. Ogemaw County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

-Cats are same day adoptions. -Dogs are NOT same day adoptions. -We require home visits with the dogs. This means you take the dog home for about a week to ensure that dog is a good fit for your life. Adoptions can be finalized after the home visit is complete. We understand some people are not local, and we can work around that to accommodate the needs of all parties involved. -Meet and greets are required for any dog adoptions where there is already a dog in the home. -CAT ADOPTIONS REQUIRE CARRIERS TO LEAVE THE BUILDING! -DOG ADOPTIONS REQUIRE A LEASH TO LEAVE THE BUILDING!
