She is wonderful with other dogs, cats, and young children, and she has a gentle nature that really shines once she has had a little time to settle in and learn that she is safe.<br/><br/>Jade was found abandoned in Alabama with her mom and six siblings, she can be cautious when meeting new people or experiencing new things. What makes Jade special is how much love is waiting underneath that shyness! <br/>Once she trusts you, she's ready for belly rubs, cuddles, and plenty of kisses!<br/>Once you have her trust, she gives her whole heart!<br/><br/>Jade is a very smart, capable dog who is eager to learn. She's observant, food motivated, and quick to figure things out. She's always paying attention to the people and dogs around her. <br/>With a family who has patience and consistency to build her confidence, Jade will be an exceptionally well-trained and rewarding companion.<br/><br/>Jade is also wonderfully brave- she does especially well when she has an older, confident dog to show her that new people, places, and things are ok!<br/>She watches other dogs closely and take cues from them. Having a calm canine companion helps her find her courage and let her personality shine. As her confidence grows, so does her willingness to explore new things!<br/><br/>Jade is looking for a patient family that will build her confidence as she continues to learn. She's still working on leash training and potty training, and with the right consistency, she'll get there. A family who is willing to invest their time is all she's really looking for- and she'll return that investment with so much love!<br/><br/>If you're a family who is patient, kind, and consistent (and you have another confident dog who can help Jade learn the ropes!) - Jade may just be the perfect pup for you! <br/><br/><br/><br/>YOUR ADOPTION FEE COVERS: Transport to Maine, age specific vaccinations, Health certificate, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming & martingale collar.<br/><br/>Adoption fees:<br/>Through 6 months of age $450;<br/>7 months to through 5 years $400;<br/>6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;<br/>9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300<br/><br/>This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England.<br/><br/>All dogs have a current Health Certificate for transport. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative.<br/><br/>FOR PUPPIES: PLEASE READ!!<br/>Homes considering Puppies must be prepared for:<br/>Flexible Schedules for Potty Training. Puppies can only hold urine for one hour per month of age. Crate Training for the next 10 months to keep them safe from chewing on everything in your home. Supervision with Children and Obedience training.<br/>Socialization; both with new people, children and other dogs outside of the home.<br/>Homes that want a well behaved dog, must be prepared to put the time, effort and costs associated to train a puppy.
