Jacob

Thank you to rescue transport angels. This adorable youngster was part of a group of stray dogs who were involved in a scuffle with another dog and Jacob was shot in the face. Jacob is just a pup of maybe 8 months old and about 20 pounds and we're guessing one of the larger dogs was the intended target. The bullet passed part way through his face and then was removed by a vet. Sadly, he may now be blind, although it's too soon to say for sure. Jacob is in rough shape, but he has been released by the vet and is fairly stable. He's also, understandably, very touch sensitive around his face, so we're waiting until he's more comfortable before doing a little more clean-up on his tear stains. He's being pampered and medicated in his foster home.
