Their ideal person will not force affection, push handling, expect quick progress, or take it personally if they do not want human interaction for a long time.

They need a calm, secure, patient home where they can decompress at their own pace. For these two, success may look different than it does for a typical dog. Success may be learning the routine, feeling safe in the house, sleeping on a dog bed, eating comfortably, watching from a distance, and slowly building trust over time.

They must be adopted together. Separating them would be unfair and would likely make their fear worse.

**Their ideal home:**

* Patient, experienced adopter
* Fear-dog / feral-dog experience strongly preferred
* Quiet home
* Secure yard required
* No expectations for immediate affection or handling
* No busy household, young kids, or high-pressure environment
* Willingness to let them move at their own pace
* Committed to keeping them safely contained

Jackyl and Jett are not easy dogs, and we will not pretend they are. But for the right person—the kind of person who understands that some dogs need safety before they can ever offer trust—they deserve a chance.

They are not looking for someone to fix them overnight.

They are looking for someone who will let them feel safe enough to finally breathe.
