Jack- vegetable connoisseur and prison training graduate's Story

Jack graduated from the "Making Pawsitive Changes" prison training program where he had 6 weeks of basic manners training. Here is some of what his trainers/handlers have to report about Jack:

"Hi, my name is Jack and I am a 1.5 year-old loving ball of energy! I get along with most dogs. I love playing and could play all day with other dogs if you let me. I've played with lots of dogs, big and small, male and female.

I wake up around 8AM and go for my first potty. Every other morning, I'll go for a long walk. On mornings I don't go for a walk, I work on my training. I am really good at settling in my crate for the night. I love my kennel- it is my safe place.

I have learned "sit", "wait" (instead of stay), and "down". When I'm walking with you, if I start to pull, just tell me "slow down". When you feed me my meals, ask me to "sit" and "wait" and I will wait until you say "OK" to eat.

My best quality is that I loooooooove people. I get so happy to see people. I am good hearted and love my humans.

My favorite activities are: going for walks, playing, being loved on, and most of all I LOVE EATING!!! When I'm training, treats and high praise are key for me.

My forever home looks like a big yard to run around in and a loving family.

Fun fact about me: I love gardens! I will eat fresh veggies all day long if you let me. Veggies are a huge love for me. Fresh green beans, carrots, broccoli, zucchini, cucumbers......just to name a few. I love them!!"

If you are interested in meeting the incredible Jack. Call the shelter at 906 632 2519 to set up an appointment.
