Jack Frost's Story
Meet Jack Frost — formerly known as Tommy at the shelter, where his shy nature nearly cost him his life. This white, scruffy, 20-lb terrier was placed on the euthanasia list simply for being timid and overwhelmed. Today, thanks to a patient foster and a quiet place to decompress, he is blossoming more every single day.

Jack Frost is learning that people can be gentle, safe, and kind. He now seeks out affection, enjoys soft pets, and has started showing his playful, goofy side. He is one smart pup, alert to everything around him, and eager to learn now that he finally feels secure.

He is still very much a puppy with no formal training, but he wants to please and responds beautifully to encouragement and calm guidance. With routine and continued patience, he will flourish into a confident, loyal companion.

Jack Frost’s ideal home is one that understands the beauty of slow progress. A yard, structure, quiet spaces, and an active lifestyle will serve him well. Young children may feel overwhelming to him, so a home without little ones is best. He is fully vetted, ready to adopt, and would truly thrive as a second dog — a confident canine sibling will help him continue to learn trust, play, and routine.

His past was scary, but his future is nothing short of bright. Jack Frost is soft, gentle, occasionally silly, always observant, and so deserving of someone who sees how far he’s come already.

Let’s help this once-overlooked, white-scruffed sweetheart find the patient forever home he’s been waiting for.

First Step Is To Apply Now
[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application updates, forwarding requests, or any questions, contact us at adopt@underdogca.com.
