Jack's Story

Our most handsome boy, Jack, is looking for his forever home! Jack is 1 year old and is sweet as pie. He’s looking for an active household that loves exploring and will take him on tons of adventures. This boy LOVES water too… let’s just say he’d be your adventure buddy extraordinaire! He really enjoys playing with other dogs, so his new home must have another active, playful, non-senior dog that Jack can be best buds with. In Jack's previous home he lived with 5 cats, but he has not been with cats since, so we’re unsure how he’d do with our feline friends now that he’s older. Jack would thrive in an all adult household-just like an all ages club “18 and over please!” ? The reason we’re seeking a mature, adult household for Jack is because he has a tendency to be mouthy and can exhibit resource guarding behavior. These behaviors can be managed thanks to the new choices he’s learned to make during his in depth board and train. (He graduated top of his class!?) Jack walks great on leash, knows all his basic obedience including the “place” command. He’s EXTREMELY food motivated, his recall is on point, AND he knows commands such as “out” (aka drop it) and “come”. His new home will need to keep up on the maintenance of his training. No need to fear though! Once we find his perfect forever home, we will be including multiple sessions with an experienced trainer to ensure that what he’s learned is relayed to his new owners so you’re all on the same page and his new family can learn what HE knows. Oh, and did we mention he’s even good with fireworks?!

Jack is neutered, current on vaccines, crate trained and microchipped. He does have allergies that are managed well with an allergy shot every 2 months. We do ask that his new family has experience with strong breeds.

If you’re interested in Jack, please go to https://www.ocpbr.org/adoptionapplication or email us at adopt@ocpbr.org
