Jack's Story

Meet Jack!

Jack is a 1-year-old Pit mix who is playful, affectionate, and full of personality. He is best friends with fellow SGA dog Xarpo, and with proper introductions, he enjoys playing with other dogs too. He is still polishing his social skills (he can be a little too enthusiastic with the licking), but he is actively working on that and responds well to guidance.

This young guy loves engagement and connection, especially when treats are involved. Jack is food motivated, adores training, and truly enjoys learning because it gives him a job and your attention. He is house trained, crate trained, and very respectful with his belongings. He happily shares toys and space with others.

While Jack enjoys affection and playtime, he also has a sweet independent side and can entertain himself when needed. New people and dogs can make him a bit hesitant at first. He is a 'brave on the outside, chicken on the inside' kind of guy. With patience and positive reinforcement, his confidence continues to grow.

Jack is energetic and would love an active home where he can go on hikes, adventures, and burn off some of that young-dog energy. He plays loudly and can be a little vocal when he is having fun - he just gets really into the moment. Despite being ten times their size, he is actually afraid of cats, which only adds to his charm.

Jack would do best in a home with adults or older children (over 12) who can appreciate his enthusiasm and help guide him as he grows.

He is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $350

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
