Jack's Story
Meet Jack

Jack is an 8-year-old, 90-pound Lab mix with a big heart and a gentle soul. After spending seven loving years with his owner, Jack found himself in foster care due to his owner’s health issues. This handsome senior has adjusted well and is ready to find a new family to call his own.

Jack is a laid-back, well-mannered guy who truly shines with his people. He loves cuddling in his bed, soaking up attention, and being part of a daily routine. One of his favorite things in the world is going for walks—if you touch his leash or put on your coat, Jack will happily plant himself by the door, ready to go! He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys car rides, suggesting he was often included in outings with his former owner.

Jack would do best in a home where he can be the only pet or have very slow, managed introductions with another dog. While he gets along with dogs, he’s not a fan of sharing—especially around food—and would be happiest not having to compete for attention or resources. He does bark at cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. A fenced yard is required, though a standard fence is perfectly fine.

This big boy is friendly and enjoys meeting new people. He has lived with children ages 6–17 and does well with them, though due to his size, a home without very small children would be ideal. Jack is crate trained, fully potty trained, and responds well to verbal correction. He knows basic commands like sit, off, and drop it, and he’s eager to please.

Jack enjoys chewing on stuffed toys (without destroying them), daily walks, and relaxing like the couch potato he is. He’s affectionate, loyal, gentle, smart, and calm—a truly good boy who’s past the puppy phase and ready for a steady, loving home.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who loves walks, cuddles, and being by your side, Jack may be the perfect match for you.

He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, on monthly prevention and is microchipped.

His adoption fee is $150.

Please follow the link below for the adoption application.
