Jack's Story

Meet Jack!!!

Jack is a 10-year-old male dog weighing around 25 pounds who came to us due to changes in his owner’s personal circumstances. Despite his age, Jack is a sweet and energetic little guy who still enjoys life’s fun moments. He absolutely loves toys and food, and those two things are sure to win him over quickly. Jack has a lot of charm packed into his small frame and enjoys engaging with the people he knows and trusts.

Because Jack can be sensitive about his space, we are looking for a home without young children. Adopters should be comfortable supervising Jack around kids, reading his body language, and respecting his boundaries. We recommend that all family members meet Jack prior to adoption to help set everyone up for success and ensure he feels comfortable with his new people from the start.

Jack may be able to live with another dog, but a slow introduction process and separation plan may be needed for him to feel at ease. He may not enjoy busy environments like dog parks, pet stores, or large gatherings with other dogs, and that’s okay—Jack prefers a calmer lifestyle. As a senior dog, he does have medical concerns that could affect his behavior, so adopters should be prepared to support him through his golden years. Jack is ready for a loving home where he can be cherished, spoiled, and appreciated for the wonderful companion he is.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
