Jack's Story

Gentleman Jack lbs Cocker Spaniel neutered estimated at 5 years old.
Found early October in Union County hit by a car. Already microchipped just needs to be registered by his forever family.
Crate trained but not fully housebroken. He will use the bathroom outside but has not fully mastered getting your attention that he needs a "comfort break". Watch for him to start pacing.
If you're his person, he will not leave your side, including when you need your own comfort break. He does not like to be out of site of his person, he is not destructive but he will pant and whine for a short period.
He has a slight head tilt from the car accident which makes him a little off balance but no other issues.
He prefers a Greenie first thing in the morning and a teaspoon of beef gravy on his kibble sets his day off right.
He's been fostering with dogs smaller than him and cats without issue. He likes to play as much as he likes to sleep, and he snores.
He's a big love bug. He needs consistency, love and treats and he will make the best fur kid.
Because he is a cocker spaniel, he will need to get to the beauty salon to get his curl and set done on a regular basis.

Knox Vintage Pet Project's Adoption Policy
We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
