J.D.'s Story

J.D, Thelma, and Louise came to us on 5/23/25.

They caught our interest when they were posted on a rescue page and were essentially described as a "pack of chihuahuas terrorizing a neighborhood". It was clear that they had been dumped in this neighborhood as it is not normal for stray dogs to be roaming around the area they were found. Two good samaritans were able to catch them and brought them to us.

These pups had clearly been through it. They were covered in fleas and ticks, and the two girls have obviously been used for breeding. J.D was so shut down and just sat at the back of his kennel with his head pressed against the wall.

They are starting to open up and show us their spunky personalities. J.D is going to take a patient home who is willing to give him lots of love to feel safe. We think he would also benefit from having a canine companion.

His adoption fee is $600. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, spay/neuter, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption.

In addition to their adoption fee, there is a $45 fee to cover the 6 months of heartworm prevention we will send home with each adoptee.

Learn about our adoption process here: https://judysforgottenjewells.com/adoption-process

Any Questions?
