Izzy's Story

Meet Izzy! Sweet Izzy and her brother Banks were brought in as strays to a rural Georgia animal shelter. Their owner was located but made it known they would not be coming to reclaim their dogs, putting them at immediate risk of euthanasia. Several neighbors of the owners visited Izzy and Banks at the shelter regularly and vouched for how special the dogs were, so we knew we needed to find a way to save them! Izzy is about a year and a half old (as of December 2024) and right around 55 lbs. And boy oh boy was that neighbor right about her being a special girl! Izzy is probably one of the most chill and loving dogs we have had in a long time! She's great with other dogs but loves people so much that she would probably do just fine as the only fur child at home. Interested in adopting the Magical Izzy? Rescue Me Ga Inc's Adoption Policy

We have an application process that we require for any adoption. The application can be found on our website at www.rmgdogs.org - its the first step in our process and required before we set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in …. ALL of our dogs are completely vetted - all vaccines - spay or neuter - dewormings - chip - heart worm tested and treated if needed and ready to be loved. WE are foster based which means our dogs are in homes or temporary boarding when we rescue them -- we know their personalities and what would be their best fit! Our dogs come from a rural Georgia shelter and often we take in surrenders from families facing difficult situations….. WE do post many dogs still in need at animal control as well as all who have been saved already that are in foster homes. We do NOT operate a facility where you can visit the dogs unless you contact us to possibly meet one already in a foster

RESCUE ME GEORGIA is a 501c3 non profit rescue group dedicated to saving dogs from a small rural shelter and county outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Since our start November of 2011, we have saved more than 5000 animals in need and have been able to be a part of so many lives changed!
