Ivy III's Story
Ivy – Age 5

Location: Greenbay

Ivy is a 5-year-old Shepherd mix, and she's the perfect blend of playful energy and laid-back snuggles. This smart, athletic girl loves to run, explore, and be wherever her people are—she truly thrives on companionship and connection.

Ivy has a fun, spirited personality and enjoys roughhousing and wrestling with her canine pals, especially her sister. She's got great energy for an active home, but don't worry—she also knows how to slow down and relax when it's time to unwind.

She's well-trained and knows her basic commands like sit, down, and stay. Ivy is very motivated and eager to please, which makes continuing her training enjoyable and rewarding. She walks nicely on leash when using a front-clip harness, though she may get excited and pull if something like a squirrel catches her eye—she's a strong girl, so a confident handler is ideal!

Ivy is fully house trained and typically responds well to cues like “leave it.” She does best with structure, consistency, and a family that understands how to read and respect a dog's boundaries. Ivy would do best in a home with another dog friend.

Because of her strength and play style, Ivy would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids (no toddlers who arent savvy) who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. She would love a home where she can get regular exercise, enrichment, and, most importantly, lots of love.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who will join you on adventures and then curl up beside you at the end of the day, Ivy just might be your perfect match
