Ivy's Story

Heeler traits: independent, loyal/devoted, affectionate, strong work ethic

Ivy was left behind at an apt complex and true to her breed, she was loyal enough to stay on the grounds for weeks evading capture. DJ Allen, the dog whisperer, came in and soothed her enough to loop her and stop her running.
We were blessed to find a loving foster to allow her to decompress and now we can see how lovely a dog she is.
She loves car rides, did well at the vet, was stoic while getting a public bath, and loves her little treat bites. Ivy is in a house with 2 adults, 2 children and 4 other dogs. Foster says she can usually be found in a quiet space or outside enjoying the sunshine. Rarely is there interaction with the other dogs, so Ivy would be great as an only dog. She would make a wonderful running or walking partner.

Ivy is about 50 lbs, thought to be around 3 years old, and is a quiet, serious little girl. She has two eye colors, believed by Native Americans to see heaven and earth. She is spayed and tested HW negative.
