Transport is included in our adoption donation.

Ivy, 8 weeks (estimated DOB November 2025, female, Pitbull/Retriever mix, estimated to be a large size when full grown. She is located in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and can transport to an adopter.

Ivy and her siblings were rescued with their mom the end of last year. Lilly (mom) was spotted at an abandoned building appearing very pregnant. When she disappeared for a few weeks, rescuers suspected she had her puppies. They found them sometime later on a dirt floor in a barn. Lilly found the safest place she could for her new family. These rescuers made posts asking for rescues to help get this family into a home. Lilly is a brindle Pitbull and we included a picture of her for reference. She is about 55 pounds. We do not know all the breeds this group is mixed with so take your best guesses with us. We also do not know how big any of them will be full grown. We believe they were born middle of November.

While we don’t know all the breeds in the mix or how big the puppies will be fully grown, we estimate Ivy and her siblings were born around mid-November.

Ivy is the most vocal out of her group. She has the most angelic face, but is never shy. She is outgoing with everyone she meets! Ivy has a sweet, people-loving nature and does well with kids and other dogs, making her a wonderful candidate for a family setting.

Like all puppies her age, Ivy is still learning everything about the world. Her adopter must be committed to:

Consistent training and positive guidance

Socialization and structure

Patience, time, and understanding of normal puppy behaviors

A puppy this young cannot be left alone all day. If you work outside the home for a full workday, you will need to clearly explain who will be home with Ivy and how her needs will be met in order to be considered. She is not housebroken or crate trained.

Ivy is more than just a cute puppy—she’s a lifelong commitment who will grow into the dog you help shape her to be. If you’re ready to invest the time, love, and responsibility that comes with raising a young pup, Ivy is ready to return that devotion tenfold.

Could Ivy be your new best friend?

***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***

Interested in applying to adopt her?
