Ivy's Story
Meet Ivy! She is a 2 year old female Goldendoodle, who just arrived on 3/21 from a high kill shelter in Tennessee. Her puppy energy and joy are contagious! Shes currently decompressing in a wonderful foster home where shes been brushing up on some training and getting ready to find her forever home. In her time in foster, Ivy has gone from a timid and scared pup to a friendly, curious, and happy sweetheart!

Ivy is fully housebroken, and will let her foster know when she has to go our and when she's ready to come back inside. She is also crate trained and will sleep peacefully in her crate through the night. Ivy is doing very well on a leash and improving every day. At first, every new sound, even a bird chirping, would cause her to freeze, but she is getting used to the neighborhood and walking more and more comfortably and confidently each day with her foster.

When it comes to her daily diet, Ivy eats Purina Pro Plan, twice per day. She also really enjoys treats during any training. She is very smart and responds well to training, learns quickly, and is eager to please. With playtime - Ivy LOVES balls, sticks, and playing fetch. She has a soft stuffed animal she loves to snuggle with at night. With socialization, Ivy is a VERY HAPPY girl. and is both social and cautious. She's excited to see new people and loves seeing other dogs, but her foster shared that she hasn't had the chance to interact with other animals directly.

Ivy is a sweet and smart girl, who thrives on encouragement and positive feedback. She reaches out her paw in a gentle way, welcoming physical contact with her foster family. She was shaved down since she was found severely matted, but her coat is growing in beautifully, and she has an adorable white patch at her chest. She already knows sit, paw, go home, and wait. She's a quick learner!

When spending time with the foster family, Ivy has been sectioned-off part of her foster's office. When we foster will let her out, she sometimes nibbles at the furniture. Her foster has been letting her out for short breaks, and she will typically entertain herself with some chew toys for a little while. She is still unsure of what to do with herself inside the home - so she is still learning how to act at home and handle idle times.

Fully vaccinated, groomed, and spayed!

A note from her foster: "Ivy is such a good girl! She's already learned our routine, goes potty in the wooded area of our yard (not even the lawn), doesn't shed, and hardly barks. Ivy loves kids and loves to play, but she definitely needs more training around kids. She gets so excited when she sees my daughter run and jump that she starts chasing her! I'm confident that with a little more training, Ivy will make an excellent family pet."

APPLY TO ADOPT IVY

https://rosemariesrescueranch.com/dog-adoption/

In the Consideration section, under 'Application Notes', please tell us about yourself to help us get a feel for you and your family, and as a fit for the pet you are interested in.
