Ivy's Story

MEET IVY!

This sweet and loyal young girl is Ivy, one of our shelter's most recent residents. And I am happy to say that she is now ready to find a family to call her own!

When meeting Ivy she first seems a little shy, but she is quick to warm up to people. And once she knows you she is so loving and loyal. Since her arrival in the shelter and spending a little bit of time with her, I have almost always been greeted by a wagging tail and so many affectionate licks. She really is just a sweet girl.

Ivy is estimated to be a 3 year old mixed breed, and weighs roughly 40 lbs. She is house trained and does well on a leash. She has done with other dogs while here though she does display signs that she might not be well suited for a home with cats. Like all of the dogs at Second Chance, Ivy has been vaccinated and microchipped. Her spay is scheduled for late October however which would mean she is currently a foster to adopt.

If you would like to know more or set up the opportunity to meet her, please reach out either by calling us at 208-267-7504 or by email. We hope to hear from you soon!
