Ivory/Ivy's Story

ADOPT IVORY 🩷🩷🩷
-aka Ivy-
Ivy is a 9-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with the gentlest soul. She has spent far too long without a forever family, and she deserves so much more.
Her very BEST quality? She is phenomenal with children. She is currently living with a 10-month-old baby who doesn't quite understand personal space-crawling, climbing, tiny hands everywhere - and Ivy handles it like an absolute angel. She gives kisses, stays calm and simply loves being included.
☑️ knows sit, lay down and shake
☑️ will go lay down on command
☑️ loves to snuggle when invited
☑️ master snack catcher
☑️ loves bath time-hops in the tub and stands patiently
☑️ does well with other dogs
☑️ tolerates indoor cats
☑️ does well around cattle
☑️ crate trained
Ivy LOVES being outside soaking up the sunshine. Her favorite activity? Running alongside the ATV- and she's surprisingly fast for a 9-year-old girl! She still has plenty of pep in her step.
Because she spent a long time in the shelter, she prefers to be fed separately from other dogs, so she feels secure at mealtime. She is NOT aggressive with treats or food around people. She just needs reassurance that her bowl is hers.
She does have a prey drive, so homes with outdoor cats would not be the right fit.
Ivy recently tested positive for heartworms and is currently undergoing treatment. She is available for adoption understanding that she needs to continue her medication and will need to be re-tested in a few months. (ARLO will cover the cost).
Fees are half-price for February!
