Isabella's Story

Isabella is a 6yo 8lb Pom mix. She is dog friendly. She’s house broken when kept on a schedule, pee pad and crate trained. She is very good with people once she confident she is safe. When she feels unsafe, she will bark obsessively to make you aware that she is not comfortable with her surroundings. She requires minimal amount of noise. She does not do well with over three dogs. Confusion and stress make her bark.

Isabella’s foster requires a home that understands she is blind so it takes a little time to feel safe. She will sit right by your side and be completely content. She learns her surroundings quickly and maneuvers well as long as you don’t keep moving things around. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Isabella as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Isabella is blind, she was born with a micro eye defect, and has dry eye which requires eye drops two times daily. She also has arthritis in her hips and legs, which makes her walk a little funny but does very well under pain management. She is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Hatboro, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
