After spending time in a home, it’s clear she’s not just fun and playful—she’s also a really good dog. She is potty trained with and does great overnight in her crate. Isabel enjoys playtime with other dogs and has that happy, rough-and-tumble puppy play style, but she also knows how to take a break. When the energy is out, she’s more than happy to curl up on the couch for a snooze. Like any young dog, Isabel still has some puppy habits—she may grab a shoe if it’s left out and believes nothing on the counter is truly safe—but the good news is she redirects incredibly easily and learns fast. She’s smart, eager, and clearly wants to do the right thing. On walks, Isabel does very well on leash and, unless she spots a person or dog she’s excited to meet. Even then, it’s friendly enthusiasm With continued guidance, she’ll only get better. Isabel would thrive in an active home that can provide structure, training, and both physical and mental stimulation. She’d love a playful dog sibling but would also do great as the center of attention. She’s loving, goofy, cuddly, and full of potential—ready to be someone’s best girl. Fetching Tails Foundation's Adoption Policy

1). All dogs listed on the website are currently available for adoption. We are volunteer-run and will do our very best to respond to your interest in one of our dogs within 24-48 hours. If you have not received a response by the 48-hour mark, please check your spam. 2). The decision to place one of our rescue dogs into either a foster home or adoptive home is not one that we take lightly. We reserve the right to deny any application and may not disclose the reason for denial. This decision is not made on a first-come, first-served basis, it is determined by who would be the best fit for our dog based on their personality in a foster home. 3). At times we have multiple applications on the same adoptable dog - and we reserve the right to stop accepting applications at any point when there is an overwhelming number of applicants for the same dog. This may be the reason you do not see the particular dog on our website or any partner websites, even after submitting an application. If an application is submitted, you should expect a response from us. Process Application – As a potential adopter, you will fill out and submit an adoption application. Your application will be reviewed by an FTF Volunteer, who will contact you within 24-48 hours of submission. Again, please check your spam if you do not hear from someone by the 48-hour mark. Meet If the application is deemed a good fit, the foster/volunteer will schedule a meet with the applicant and everyone in the household. All members of the application household, including dogs, will meet at a secured location decided by the foster and applicants. If a person or dog is over often, they are able to attend as well. Home Checks: After the application has been approved and the meet and greet has been done we will move forward with a home check. ** Please note, if you are in a rented home, we will be contacting your landlord for their approval prior to adoption. If the approval is not written in your lease, we will need written approval from your landlord. Contract If you are approved for adoption, you will be notified and adoption will be scheduled at one of two locations. You will fill out our adoption contract, which details our policies and procedures regarding the responsibility and care of the Fetching Tails dog. At this time you will receive proof of all vaccinations, the microchip number, test results, a rabies certificate, and any additional medical records, if necessary. Adoption Donation When you adopt a dog, you're not buying a pet. Your donation isn't a fee for your adoptee - it's a gift that helps us pursue our mission, save lives, and ensure we can provide care to all the dogs in our program. Senior dog. 8 years and up / $125 Adult or Young Dog. 6 months to 7 years / $375 Puppies. Under 6 months / $450 (Cash or check accepted only on adoption day) Care Provided At minimum, all Fetching Tails dogs receive the following: Fecal tests (and treatment, if needed) Age-appropriate Vaccinations Microchip, which will be transferred to you at the time the adoption is processed with our 24PetWatch chip Heartworm Test (and treatment, if positive) Spay/Neuter Surgery Flea & Tick Preventative (during the proper season) Heartworm Preventative (during the proper season) **Please note the following: 1). We are unable to make any guarantees of the future health, age, temperament, size, or breed of your adopted dog. 2). In the event that the adopter is no longer able or willing to care for the adopted dog, or the dog is no longer a “fit” in the home, the adopter understands that the dog MUST be returned to Fetching Tails Foundation. If the adopted dog is not returned to Fetching Tails, the Foundation has the right to subject a fine and if necessary, will take legal action. 3). Please read over your adoption contract carefully.
