Iris's Story
When Our Pal's Place rescues from county shelters, our Intake Team focuses first on the homeless dogs listed on the county's kill list. This particular afternoon the Intake Team was focused on meeting and getting Spot to the safety of our Pet Adoption Facility. While on-site, the county supervisor approached the team asking for help. A mom and 6 puppies were being surrendered to the county and there was no space for them. Not having an open room in our Pet Adoption Facility except for Spot, the team got creative and decided that the mom and pups could temporarily be housed in our Learning Center.

Iris is the last of the litter looking for his forever home. Iris is a sweet little boy who enjoys being held as much as playing with his siblings! Iris also enjoys playing with our resident cat, Murphy, and kitten Fawn who is also looking for her forever home.

As of November, Iris is 6 months old and weighs approximately 10lbs. His mom is only 12lbs so we guess that he will be about the same size.
