Although her owner is devastated, her life has changed unexpectedly and she can no longer provide Indy with the home she deserves. Here is what her owner wants you to know:<br/><br/>"Indy is the most loving and affectionate dog. She loves toys, and her favorite is the "flirt pole". She adores it and it is also great exercise (mental and physical). Indy currently lives with a cat and does well, but slow introductions will be needed if you have a cat. She also lives with a smaller dog, but can be a bit rough when playing with him. Indy has visited dog parks but sometimes is a bit too overexuberant and her energy can scare other dogs. She has no bite history whatsoever.<br/><br/>Indy is not remotely shy and very affectionate. She sleeps on top of me in bed and sleeps on my feet while I am sitting. She follows me into the shower. She loves people and if she see an open car door she will jump right in (as many plumbers and handymen have discovered). She is completely housetrained and never has accidents unless she is in a new location, and then just on the first day.<br/><br/>Indy has a lot of energy and can get overstimulated on walks, so she needs consistent training. She hasn't been in a crate since she was a puppy, so if you will be crating her she will have to get used to it again. At times she can be destructive when left alone, so I am able to mitigate that by not leaving things laying around and by putting ottomans, etc upside down on the couch when I am not home. Exercise to get her energy out definitely helps."<br/><br/>Indy eats Blue Buffalo dog food, and she is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. If you would like more information or would like to arrange to meet Indy, please fill out an application for her and we will put you in touch with her owners. Or, go to sheltersurvivors.com, click on the home page, look for "Application" at the top of the home page, and complete the application. Hit the submit button once you have completed the application in its entirety. Please do NOT leave any blank spaces, if something is not applicable type in N/A. This will expedite the adoption process. Adoption Fee: $300.00
