Indy's Story

Indy is a 3-year-old German Shepherd weighing about 73 lbs, and she is truly the sweetest girl. She has a gentle, loving soul and just needs a little time and patience to fully relax and show you who she really is. Like many shepherds, Indy does have some anxiety, especially in new environments, but we expect this to improve once she’s decompressed and settled into a consistent home. With understanding and routine, she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. Indy has a good amount of energy and enjoys exploring, going for walks, and taking in the world around her. She knows how to sit and shake, and she absolutely loves showing off her tricks for treats! She loves to lean up against your legs and get all the love she can! She has done mostly well with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure a good match. Due to her strong prey drive, Indy cannot live with cats or small dogs, as she has a strong urge to chase and could unintentionally hurt a smaller animal. She has not met children while in our care. Indy is the kind of dog who steals your heart once she feels safe. With a little patience, love, and structure, she will make an incredibly devoted and rewarding companion.
