Hi, I’m India! I’m a 10-year-old, 60-pound pit mix with a heart as big as my smile. My absolute favorite things in life are cozy naps, belly rubs, and snuggling up next to my person — I’m truly the ultimate couch companion. I’m a mellow, easygoing girl who would be the perfect fit for a relaxed, low-key household. I’m fully potty trained and do wonderfully when left out — I don’t need a crate, just a comfy spot to snooze! I adore people and have done well around kids in my foster home, though I’d probably be happiest with older kiddos who understand my calm and gentle nature. I can be a little shy when meeting new folks, but give me a little time and I’ll be your most loyal and loving friend. I’d do best as the only pet in the home — other animals make me a bit nervous — but trust me, I have more than enough love to fill your whole heart and home. Ruff Road Revival's Adoption Policy

The first step to the adoption process is filling out our adoption application online. We then do a vet check and check character reference, followed up by reaching out to the potential adopter to answer any questions they may have. If they are still interested at that point, we have the foster reach out to them so that they can get a better feel for if it is the right fit both for the adopter and for the animal. This also gives the potential adopter a chance to either set up a meet and greet with the animal if they are local or video chat with the animal to see their personality if they are out of state. If they are local, the next step would be a meet and greet and if that goes well, they would sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee and take the animal home. If they are out of state and decide to move forward with adoption, they will then sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We will schedule the transport and send all information to the potential adopter. The animal will receive a health certificate prior to transport and the adopter will be added to a group chat during the transport process.
